Legit or scam job opening? I registered on my state's job system. I used a unique email address. That was several months ago & I sort of forgot about it until I recently received an inquiry - a business was interested in me. I checked out the company and it is legit but I know this can be faked.
As directed, I emailed my resume and references, using my professional email address. Several days later, I received another email from them, but to the first email address. It includes no indication that they ever read my resume. They ask for all sorts of documentation, via email only. Their wording is somewhat strange but not bad-like-419-scam strange. But for the type of company, I'd expect their wording to be perfect.
This is starting to feel like some kind of phishing scheme. Is it normal to request an applicant send employment eligibility verification via email before any personal contact? And they want it right away. They also ask for evidence of something very unusual but maybe they just worded it oddly.
Stay away from these folks! Never give out any private information to these guys! Better yet call them!
