Who should I use for a reference on a job application? This is a job application for a part time job working at a garden center weekends and summer. I work in a school as a teacher's aide during the school year, and will be looking for a teaching job for the next school year and just need something during the summer. There is really no need to use professional references and teachers that I work with for a little job like that.
Is it ok to use a friend that I volunteered in animal rescue with on that application?
Any other ideas for a good reference for that type of job. I need 3 references.
Your friend may be a good character reference, but put the principal from your school on there, and maybe someone that you worked with on another job with. It's still a job, so while you don' t need to put down your curriculum vitae, try to shoot for 2 professional references and 1 character reference.
